I can't say I'm sad to see the year end, cuz it needed to. And I need the oppertunity to create a mental barrier between it and myself. and with this new year I hope that'll come. Monday, December 30, 2002:
saturday
woke up and then showered and such before getting dressed up for the mendhi. Then we went dropped my mom off there and went to my aunts house for lunch before going there. Then we went and had our mendhi done (aka getting designs on hands and arm and then leaving them on for three hours before taking that off and ending up with orange-redish designs on hands and arm). After that I went back to my aunts house changeed before going and hanging out with one of my california friends at the Taj presidancy (which is for anyone who cares.. where my parents got married). then after hanging out for a while we had dinner at Tritoria, this really good italian restraunt which is in the hotel. was very good. then hung out a bit more before parents came and picked me up and then home to sleep.
sunday
the hindu wedding was today.. so we woke up had breakfast got ready and went to monica (that is the building's name where they got married) after a long cerimony delayed by the bride getting stuck in traffic, we had lunch and then hung out for a bit before going to my aunts house. then we chilled for a bit before going to bandra early and watching the sunset there before the other wedding reception. last time seeing the sunset from my grandmother's flat there. I know this because they're selling the flat in the next week if the buyer is as serious as he says. then we went and hung out at the reception which was fun. then back to my grandmother's house to sleep and such...
monday
woke up early and had breakfast and then went shopping for a bit. after a bit of shoe buying we went to look at one or two more shops before heading back and then driving to my aunts house. then we got ready and went to the church wedding and then hung out there for a while afterwards. then home for a bit and then to Bombay gym for the reception. Which was fun. I hung out with my cousins Nickel and Akshay for most of it. also saw some California peeps which was fun. Then we came back to my aunts house and had some dinner before going to my other grandmother's house where the party continued until 3:30.. then sleeep
tuesday
woke up early and had breakfast and read for a while. then after that we went to the Obiroi where me, shef and didi all ordered custom made leather jackets which we'll get on thursday. (everything in India is easy to get made custom fit and is same price or cheaper compared to home.. dollars are worth a lot out here) then we look around random shops. bought random thing and then came back to my aunts house... now I've just finished packing up my stuff then we'll go to a party with my dad's side of the family for New Years and then head to my grandmother's house for the night (or early morning if you want to be technical)
