Friday, December 27, 2002:
25th (wednesday)
very relaxing day. Woke up and went to the gateway of india to catch a ferry. After an hour long trip we arrived at my aunt's to be husband's (wedding starts on saturday) mother's house where we had a christmas lunch. We hung out for a long time before that though and sat around on the hammock or in chairs on tha patio having drinks (both wet and dry..I went dry for the day as normal) after hanging out and just chilling for a while we had some good italian food and such before catching the ferry back to Mumbai. some good quotes from in between (both from my aunt) "Look at the fruit of our loins" (refering to the kids) "Think Sex" (while trying to get anouther aunt to smile for a picture) after hanging out back at home for a while we had dinner and then me and my sisters plus a gay guy named Sam (who we met ealier at the picinic thing) all went to see Die Another Day. Seeing a movie in an indian theater is rather different, they add an itermission, have cheesy adds and they show all the certificates showing that adds have been approved by the indian governmnt.. after getting back we went back to my aunts house and then to bed.
26th (thursday)
woke up and had breakfast.. My parents went to Bandra to pick up stuff so me and my sisters went shopping at The Bombay Store, went to lunch at my grandmother's house, I went with my cousin to buy some hats, then Shef, Didi, Avni and I went to Chirindals (sp?), Sam's showroom, a coffee place, and then finally to CrossRoads (a mall). Then we dropped her off and we came back to my aunts house. Then the adults went for dinner and Shef and I met up with the other kids and had dinner at McDonalds before they dropped me back at my aunts house and they went clubbing (which according to shef later.. was really lame). So I was online for a bit before taking a shower and writing a letter before bed.
27th (today... friday)
woke up and hung out for a bit before going and attempting to find shoes at the Taj, then we went to the bookstore there and I found a few good books. Then back for lunch with a lot of our family as well as some of our california family friends. after lunch they hung out with us until about 4 or 5 before heading out. Then a few of them and us walked to the gateway of india and got a horse ride to naraman point. Then we had some corn off a sidewalk vendor and watched the sunset. Then they went back to their hotel and we came back to my aunts house. now we're hangingout here until 8, then we go to bandra and get ready for a wedding and then we go to that at 9. then after all that is over we are spending the night at my grandmother's old flat and tomorrrow I think we return back here (to South Mumbai)

Tuesday, December 24, 2002:
today.. woke up fairly early, had breakfast and sat around for a while. Then went for lunch at my grandmother's place, and after hanging out there for a bit we walked down a block or two to look at shops and such. I bought a hat, some stamps, and a bootleg game. hehe. Then came back and got the rest of the family and drove to see an aunt on my dad's side of the family as well as my cousin and her two daughters (one is 22 the other 15). Then after hanging out there for a bit we drove back to my aunts house, hung out, went and bought some gifts for tomorrow and then had dinner. Now we're hanging out and such. and later I'll go to bed and then today is done.

Monday, December 23, 2002:
Okay, I'm back.. WHOOOHOO!! (or not.. whatever you perfer) Devlali was fun. We got there on Thursday night and then had dinner, hung out for a bit, and then woke my cousin up before hanging out and going to bed.
friday
woke up late, had breakfast, drove to Nasik, had lunch with my cousin, hung out for over an hour in a jewlery store, drove back from Nasik, relaxed, wrote some letters, had dinner at my aunts house, slept.....
saturday
woke up normal time, had brunch, drove towards Nasik and then climbed 196 steps to see some damn cool caves which were carved into a mountain in the BCs with a lot of statues and such. had drinks at the Taj, drove back to Devlali, had snacks at my aunts house, drinks at my cousins, and dinner in Nasik. Drove back to Devlali packed and went to bed.
sunday
woke up early (6) to catch the train back to Mumbai. The train ride should have been 3 hours but an extra hour was added due to a stop in the middle of nowhere for an unknown reason. Then went to my grandmother's old house, packed some stuff, went to see mty two cousins for lunch, went to my uncle's house and then to my aunts house to stay. Internet wasn't working though so I went to bed early(er)...
monday
Internet got fixed.. Whoohooo! Woke up late, had lunch and went to a beauty parlor where I got arms waxed.. (hot.. other then that didn't hurt) later we went to my grandmother's house to hang out for abit before dinner and then came back here to my aunts house for dinner while my other aunt had a "hen party"... other then that just hung out around here for a while.
