Saturday, August 24, 2002:

Okay all about today and yesterday... Yesterday I worked on bio and IMed a lot.... then I went to see the double feature at the stanford theater of Roman Holiday and Sabrina. Today, I woke up late and went to go pick up my books at school. Then my mom went to pick up my dad from the airport while i was at home doing bio... then We went to the 55th B-day party of a family friend of ours. It was a suprise party on aboat which was going around the bay. So we left the house a bit before six and drove to SF and went to pier 9 to wai t.. he was suprised... and then from 7:45 to 11:30 we were on the boat... had fun hanging out with his daughter Melina who goes to Los Altos. (age difference at our table for dinner was ratther strange, one 10 year old, two 12 year olds, one 13, three of us 15, on 23 and one 2- .... had fun though)then drove back and am now online talking to molly while checking e-mail and blogging... I'm going to go to bed after I finish all this plus do some bio I think... I'm done for now though

Wednesday, August 21, 2002:

Hmmm.. Have made slight progress on my room. the main part of my desk is clean. But I still need to finish that, clean my entire closet, the floor, and my bed needs to have the linens washed... So looks like I'll be working til fairly late on that. No further progress on Bio or MEHAP, I'll do that after my room is done (deadline for room is today... so yeah). I finished the basics I needed for the meeting tonight on the new L+D resolution. Am really tired of being in my room cleaning. And I want to go out and see friends. But I have sooooo much Bio to do and almost all my MEHAP. So I'll have to wait till that's done which will probebly be this weekend... And then school starts so I won't have free time. Am now listening to sting as I take a break from my room. I just found the validations from last year at marching band, wow... I realized nobody in my cabin really knew me and all of them wrote such generic things... Example: It was really fun having you in my cabin. You were always smiling and happy. Have a great season... (insert name)... Side note.. I was misrable at band camp last year, I rarely smiled and was nowhere near happy... Just thare and sort of middle ground at best.. So yeah... Made me see how much better it was this year (which I already knew but it hightlighted even more...) Anyways I have a lot to do do I'm going now. But I'll probebly be coming online in intervels of a half hour to an hour based on when I need to be away from the cleaning process. I'm busy yet bored as hell... Tuesday, August 20, 2002:

ok now that I'm blogging about the current times... (Wow what a concept... heehee jk) Have made very little progress on Bio H hw... erk.. I hate it... it's easy but sooo time consuming.. and I need to do so much. Me thinks I'llstay up very late tonight working on it in order to actually make some progress... Plus I need to do my MEHAP.. but *yawn* its so boring.. I don't really give a shit if the christians made their holidays at the same time as pagen holidays... and I don't know the format for writing a book review... So I need to go to the library. And tomorrow or the day after there's a meeting for S+D to talk about the fall resolution :

When the United States is engaged in military conflict, the demands of national security ought to supersede conflicting claims of individual rights.

I think NOOO! but that's just my opinion. I need to find reasons for both sides and define words for argument before going to work on it tomorrow or day after (I guess I'll do that now then...) Other then summer hw I've been busy with cleaning my room.. Which needs to be done by tomorrow (still need to clean closet, desk, under bed, and center of floor... hmmm, no good) Anyways now I'm off to work and watch shef upload songs for her new MP3 player (her B-day present from my parents) BTW, I want to know how Abe did on the Army test thingy, so if he sees this, e-mail me!.. Anyways I'm done So long...

Okay.. onwards to after band camp... on Saturday we had a Mount Massive party at our house (basically family friends came and looked at each others pics)... Sunday me and my family watched Get Shorty.. Then shef and I went to blockbuster to return the movies... Was really weird because of the smoke from the fires in Oregon, it looked like fog. And remind me of driving back from the cast party at Erica's house after the comedy cup show. the feeling that the incedent was completely new even though very similar to a past event...whatever... Also the smell in the air reminded me of India. Then yesterday we had some family friends over for dinner. And now I am here... Earlier i tried to pick up my books, because Robin said marching band people could pick up their stuff if they missed their appointments because of band camp.... Well they said no at school, but because we were there my mom and I went and paid for my yearbook and such. Then we went and picked up a friend of hers and some In-and-Out.. So had that for the first time sinse one acts, and they watched Sleepless in Seatle... Forgot about the Swatches line.. was funny even though i'd already seen it. And then i looked at my bio, realized I'm screwed and decieded to blog before attempting that. So now back to that.. OH shit...I want to run and hide. Oh well

Monday, August 19, 2002:

More on band camp.... Friday was weird... Concentration was gone, so marching was harder.. kept messing up and such... and starting at rehersals kept having weird swings in mood... was really weird. normal friday night traditions were amazing... If you were in band I can tell you more if you e-mail, if not...Join band and then I'll explain.. After we got back I stayed up til 3:30.. then woke up a bit after 8 on Saturday and went to breakfast with the rest of my cabin. Our cabin and the cabin who had KP were the only ones down there. But was cool to have that time with my cabin. Then we had marching rehersal and music practice before lunch... Erica had come so she joined all us sophomores and juniors who I hung out with for lunch(Jeff (S), Jeff (H), Jessica, Daniel, Radhika, David, me, Lura ect...). David and I were so happy. then we had to go warm up our insterments before the drill down(yay Daniel.. the winner!), then the concert. Then we had to pack up our stuff, and say bye.. was sad. But good to get home and take a long bath.... And then life returned to normal.. except today Abe is scaring me with talk of joining the Army or Air Force.... Erk... not like its bad, just Abe is so happy and kind... Can't see him in the army.. anyways am done for now.

Sunday, August 18, 2002:

ok am back and have been for a bit... more band camp stuff now.... then we met the people in our cabins. Mine was way cool. My cabin leaders were Astra, Erin (White not Mellon), and Stafanie. Along with them the rest of my cabin was Janelle, Radhika, three freshmen: Elieke (sp?), Christine, and Vanessa. And we all had cow pride! heehee. We had our first marching practice and music rehersal. (during freetime Erin, Stefanie and I listened to music while freshmen played cards in our cabin) Later in sectionals we planned our skits for campfire. At campfire we had fun with those (they were fairly lame...) and did normal band camp stuff (Including singing Oh Lord Henry, Winnie Man and more). The only bad thing is that brought back some memories which made me sad. But then I felt better during our cabin meeting when we just talked about the day. (We had a tendancy to go off topic though.... but was fun nevertheless). Tuesday we woke up had the first of the bad breakfasts, but it wasn't too bad. Then off to marching practice, rehersal, lunch, freetime (sat and thought for an hour or so....) rehersal, sectionals, marching, dinner and campfire. Which was fun because the had half the skits. Robin lectured us all because while one cabin was doing dancing for their skit people called for Ting to take his shirt off..... Then we did normal band camp stuff. (see above) and were off to cabin meetings. Like the night before brought back a few sad memories. But cabin meeting cheered me up. Wednesday: continued the same stuff except no night rehersal after dinner because we had dinner in the grove(yay burgers! real food) and then had theme night and the "spontaneously planned" dance. Which was actually a lot of fun this year. I danced for everything except the one country song. They even played two techno songs that I liked. Ian and a few freshmen guys busted out with rave moves using Ian's glow sticks. Was very cool. Only bad thing to happen is a friend of mine was annoyed with other friends because they'd stolen her name tag (At band camp if somebody takes or finds your name tag and turns it in you have to either sing I'm a little teapot with movements or spell your name with your butt. Depending on what the band feels like). But this was before the dance and a bit later but still before the dance it was resolved. The cabing meeting was the same pretty much. Random chatting about the day while snacking on the cheese its and gold fish. Thursday was the same as tuesday pretty much although pit and drumline joined us for the first time (It made children of sanchez sound so amazing.... WOW. that one's my favorite so to hear it like that was great) In the cabin meeting we played the card game where you have to answer the Q's... So was okay. Must now go .. will fill you in on more later

More band camp stuff... sorry for not writing more last night. some family friends came over and were doing a slide show on my wall of photos from Mount Massive in colorado which they climbed last week...I was IMing a lot.. unfortunatly this computer doesn't have AIM, and when it did it crashed at least six times per day.... So was chatting with Jaff and Brian which was nice. I uploaded children of sanchez from Jeff, (100 minuets... slow computers... gotta love em). Then stayed up til past elevenish so I could get back to a normal sleep schedual (sp?... whatever). Okay, on monday we had fun.. A scenic detour because of road repairs, then we got the and had the games scoot your butt, baby I love you will you give me a smile and some weird activity where the band sat on each other.. ok am off to store with shef now.. more later
